If your visit to Panama is prolonged or if you are planning to live
here, you will need insurance for your personal and property needs.
In following editions, we will analyze the characteristics of each
insurance policy offered in Panama, according to your needs.
Medical insurance
Medical insurance is of prime interest among new arrivals. To acquire
medical insurance, first, you neeed to have a budget, and be below the
maximum age of admission. That, in some cases, is 63 years old. Also,
it is important to be in good health to be able to continue to pay the
insurance plan options.
Medical insurance can vary according to your different needs. There are
plans that offer local or international coverage, and some include
plans that work along with approved networks and established doctors,
laboratories, hospitals, and clinics where usually the policyholder
performs what is called a co-payment, or the basic sum of money paid to
receive the service, since the other expenses incurred are charged
directly to the insurance company.

Panama courts real estate shoppers with low prices
by Doreen Hemlock
South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Add Panama to the list of nearby nations seeking buyers in South Florida for its real estate.
Some half-dozen Panamanian exhibitors attended the recent International Real Estate Congress and Expo in Coral Gables, offering luxury condominiums in high-rise towers and other properties to buyers seeking lower-cost alternatives to South Florida.
High on their target list: U.S. retirees and Baby Boomers soon to retire, who might enjoy a home 2 1/2 hours by jet from Miami in a country that uses the U.S. dollar and where English is widely spoken.
The pitch comes amid a boom in construction and real estate in Panama, spurred partly by tax incentives the Central American nation now offers to foreign investors.

TRUMP IS COMING FOR A PIECE OF THE ACTION
He's not the first and he definitely won't be the last, he being Donald
Trump and the subject at hand is real estate investing in Panama.
Donald Trump has announced that he's created a partnership with a
Panamanian development company (K Group) and a Columbian construction
company (Arias Serna Saravia) to build a 65 story high-rise. The
property will house 312 hotel suites, 500 luxury condominiums, a casino
and a marina.
This is big news to many people, but for those of us who've been
watching the market here, it's no surprise. That development will join
the likes of the Aqualina Tower (61),the Faros del Panamá Torre Central
(85 stories),Q Tower (82 stories), Ocean Two (73), Palacio del la Bahia
(97 stories) and the Ice Tower which could possibly be the tallest
building in Latin America once it's completed, coming in at 104 floors.
That's just a short list of some of the proposed and breaking ground
projects, if you’d like to read about more, you can do so at http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?cityID=864&statusID=3 and if you’d like to read what Reuters had to say about the Trump project you can at
